Entering the Dark Fantastic: Greetings from Krampus!

I am incredibly excited to announce that I’ll be making my debut at Memento Mori Gallery & Tattoo for their upcoming group show, "Greetings From Krampus! Vol. 6." This gallery is a staple of the 40 West Arts District in Lakewood, and I couldn't think of a better venue to showcase a piece that leans into the darker, more theatrical side of my portfolio.

Reimagining a Legend with Talia Tucker

For this show, I’ve submitted a photograph that explores the haunting beauty of holiday folklore. Featured in the shot is the legendary Denver drag performer Talia Tucker, transformed into a breathtakingly eerie version of Krampus.

Captured under the cover of night on a bridge, Talia is unrecognizable in a monochromatic, textured suit with massive, twisting antlers. The high-contrast lighting brings out the sharp, otherworldly details of the costume, turning a holiday "monster" into a work of high-fashion horror.

Join the Celebration

The exhibition features a wide array of local artists all interpreting the Krampus legend in their own unique styles. It’s going to be a fantastic night of art, community, and maybe a little bit of holiday mischief.

  • Opening Reception: First Friday, December 1st, from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm.

  • Exhibition Dates: December 1 – December 23.

  • Special Guest: The evening will also feature Lo B as Krampus!

  • Location: Memento Mori Gallery & Tattoo, 6451 W. Colfax Ave, Suite B, Lakewood, CO 80214.

I am honored to be listed among such a talented group of featured artists. I can't wait to see how Talia’s Krampus looks hanging on the gallery walls!

Jay Cupcake

I’ve always believed that a great portrait is a collaboration, not just a click of a shutter. My name is Jay, and for over a decade, I’ve been capturing the vibrant, the surreal, and the unapologetically authentic. Recently relocated from the mountains of Colorado to the Twin Cities, I bring an editorial eye and a 'laughter-first' philosophy to every session.

My work spans the spectrum of the human experience—from photographing the Mayor of Denver for Civilian Magazine to creating high-concept digital collages featuring the icons of the drag and variety scene. Whether I’m building a complex 100-layer digital piece or capturing a clean, professional headshot, my goal is to make my subjects feel like the most powerful version of themselves. I don't just take pictures; I help personalities shine through.
