In the heart of the Denver Santa Fe Arts District, D'art Gallery has chosen our collage Colorado Pride 2023 to hang with their Spot On #4 show. On view: August 31 - September 24, 2023. Don't miss this one!

We're headed to Depot Art Gallery!

It's a five minute walk from our studio in Littleton and now we're included in their exhibition 39th Annual Best of Colorado Art Show! Hanging from August 8 - September 9, 2023. This is the second time our collage Colorado Pride 2021 has been chose to be part of a gallery exhibition.

We're going back to Curtis Center for the Arts!

Our magically realistic photograph collage Desert Rose has been chosen to be part of the 40th Annual All Colorado Art Show at Curtis Center for the Arts! On view from July 8 - August 26, 2023. So so so thrilled. Once is an accident, twice is the beginning of a pattern.

Alex!

Alex is an actor I had the great pleasure of meeting a few years ago when she was cast in a reading of a play I wrote! She swing through Colorado on her way to another booking and we had a great time catching up and playing in the sunflower field behind my studio. Littleton, Colorado- could you be more beautiful? Grateful for friendships and the sunshine.

We're hanging in a gallery!

My collage Colorado Pride 2021 has been chosen to hang at Curtis Center for the Arts as part of the 39th Annual All Colorado Art Show. I couldn't be more excited. You can see it July 9 - August 26, 2022.

Molly!

I mean Cindy Crawford. No, I mean Molly. En rouge.

Sometimes a studio session is exactly what's called for. Molly came to visit me for a new  headshot for an upcoming pageant! I don't get to work with performers enough, we had a great time letting it all hang out in pursuit of that perfect pageant headshot. These two weren't the winners but they were some of my favorites from the session.

Venus!

I had great fun creating a small portfolio of portraits for a local drag performer today! Venus Victrola came with different outfits and we cranked the music and had a blast. They say photography is only 10% actual time behind the camera, the rest is editing and working running managing growing the business. This 10% was fun. So was the other 90% to develop the pictures.

Katarina!

Our first headshot client in Littleton! We had a blast finding a real ~Colorado~ background look for her photograph. Turns out, the natural light and pockets of shadow are perfect just steps outside my new studio location. Very excited to see what we can do for people.

Maternity Photoshoot!

Jay Cupcake Photography is now happily offering maternity photoshoots! :) Pose with a partner or solo. We had such a great time helping Jillian + Matt celebrate their special time, we can't wait to do it again! Our studio is located in Littleton, just a short drive south of Denver.

Miss Zarah!

Pink Lady extraordinaire, Miss Zarah came for a portrait photo session when she needed promotional material. So we cranked the glam and gave the night clubs something quality to advertise.

Laughter is the best medicine!

One of the reasons I love photography so much is I get to connect with human beings I probably wouldn't meet otherwise. It's wicked fun to get to know a person and help their personality shine through while you're photographing them. Often times in my sessions that translates to laughter. It's the best. These might not be the winners for that next great corporate headshot you're searching for, but the outtake photographs are so very cute.

Jaray!

Jaray is a makeup artist who I've hired many times for headshot and portrait photography makeup since moving to Colorado. Today he stepped in front of the lens! We had a great time creating personal branding portfolio looks for him and his business! If you're in need of a makeup artist in Denver or the surrounding area, I couldn't recommend him more.

How often do you get to make a new corporate headshot for someone about to be interviewed by a United States Secretary? Maybe more often if I lived closer to DC, but this was an exciting score in Denver, Colorado. Good luck to you, Sunny!

Sunrise at Red Rocks!

Thank you to the lovely Miss Jessica (channeling Pope Moira Rose) for getting up so early to meet me at Red Rocks! What a lovely outdoor shoot experience, to watch the sunrise in the viewfinder and snap some lovely photographs along the way.

Boyd Watterson!

When Boyd Watterson called with the news they were opening an office in Denver, I jumped at the chance to take headshots for the new team. We've now met on a few different dates for further professional headshots as the team grows. Denver offers some gorgeous urban areas and just outside their new offices is like a playground for outdoor, natural light headshots.

Mayor Hancock!

Today I had the great pleasure to meet and photograph the mayor of Denver, Colorado: Mayor Michael Hancock! We had about 20 minutes to capture as many looks as we could in his Oval Office. Portrait photography in a hurry! What a thrill to land this gig so soon after moving to Denver. Thank you for the fun assignment, Civilian Magazine.

When Jaclynne reached out about a photoshoot celebrating her upcoming birthday, I was thrilled. Not only did we get to knock out a great new corporate headshot for her, we also got some killer boudoir style pictures. Still one of my favorite sessions ever, the photographs speak for themselves.
