Alex is an actor I had the great pleasure of meeting a few years ago when she was cast in a reading of a play I wrote! She swing through Colorado on her way to another booking and we had a great time catching up and playing in the sunflower field behind my studio. Littleton, Colorado- could you be more beautiful? Grateful for friendships and the sunshine.

Can't decide if you want a new headshot with natural light or from the studio? You don't need choose! Iana and I had a great time in the studio and also hunting for the outdoor look. She wanted both, she got both. My studio is available for bookings now in Littleton. Just a short trip from Highlands Ranch, where Iana was visiting from!

Sometimes a studio session is exactly what's called for. Molly came to visit me for a new headshot for an upcoming pageant! I don't get to work with performers enough, we had a great time letting it all hang out in pursuit of that perfect pageant headshot. These two weren't the winners but they were some of my favorites from the session.

I don't know if you know this, but the pecking order is very real. This is the queen bee, HBIC, madame president. It's her backyard and we just walk through it sometimes. Life in the South Denver suburbs is wild.

Venus!
I had great fun creating a small portfolio of portraits for a local drag performer today! Venus Victrola came with different outfits and we cranked the music and had a blast. They say photography is only 10% actual time behind the camera, the rest is editing and working running managing growing the business. This 10% was fun. So was the other 90% to develop the pictures.

Our first headshot client in Littleton! We had a blast finding a real ~Colorado~ background look for her photograph. Turns out, the natural light and pockets of shadow are perfect just steps outside my new studio location. Very excited to see what we can do for people.

Laughter is the best medicine!
One of the reasons I love photography so much is I get to connect with human beings I probably wouldn't meet otherwise. It's wicked fun to get to know a person and help their personality shine through while you're photographing them. Often times in my sessions that translates to laughter. It's the best. These might not be the winners for that next great corporate headshot you're searching for, but the outtake photographs are so very cute.

Boyd Watterson!
When Boyd Watterson called with the news they were opening an office in Denver, I jumped at the chance to take headshots for the new team. We've now met on a few different dates for further professional headshots as the team grows. Denver offers some gorgeous urban areas and just outside their new offices is like a playground for outdoor, natural light headshots.

Mayor Hancock!
Today I had the great pleasure to meet and photograph the mayor of Denver, Colorado: Mayor Michael Hancock! We had about 20 minutes to capture as many looks as we could in his Oval Office. Portrait photography in a hurry! What a thrill to land this gig so soon after moving to Denver. Thank you for the fun assignment, Civilian Magazine.
